2017 Summer League Update: Week 4

Published by on

With one week to go in the Summer League there is plenty to play for across both the Ladies and Mens teams.

The Ladies have had a great season so far and go in to the last week with 3 of the 4 teams having a chance to make the playoffs.

The Ladies 1st team, in Class 3, are third in their group and tied on points with Clontarf. Having lost the head to head with Clontarf, they will need a good win in the last week and will need to outscore Clontarf this week to go through.

The 2nd team are on top of their group in Class 5, having won 3 of their 4 matches and scored 15 points.

The Ladies 3rd team are in second place in their group with 15 points. Just one more point would be enough to make certain of getting to the Class 7 playoffs.

The 4th team is also in Class 7. They didn’t play this week but have managed to pick up a very decent 5 points from their first three matches. They play Portmarnock in the last match who are top of the group. So it should be a tough match but hopefully the 4th team can pick up even more points for a strong end to a strong season.

Both Mens teams are also in with a chance of making the playoffs with one week to go. The first team are second in their group in Class 4 and are away in the final week at Dunboyne.

The Mens 2nd team are 3rd in their group in Class 6. With their last match against the second place team and Skerries 2 points behind, qualification is unlikely but possible with a big win.
