We have completed week 3 of Winter League and group positions are becoming much clearer.
The Ladies 1st team is in 4th spot in their group with 4 points after a 2-1 loss this week. The group looks very tight with Skerries 1 point behind second place but also only 1 point above bottom of the group.
The 2nd team are also in 4th spot in a very tight group and tied with 2 other teams. With matches still to play against the 2 teams directly above them, 2nd place and the playoffs is still a possibility although it will be a tough ask.
The Ladies 3rd team recorded their 3rd win in a row this week and sit 3rd in their group with 6 points. Sunday’s match at home is against top of the table Brookfield with everything to play for and a chance to top the group.
The 4th team are bottom of their group and still searching for their first point.
The Men’s 1st team are top of their group on 8 points after a 2-1 win against second placed Laytown / Bettystown on Sunday. This week’s match is away to Castleknock.
The 2nd team pulled themselves back into a competitive spot in their group with a 3-0 win on Sunday, which places them in second place. This week’s away match is against 3rd placed Sutton so all to play for there.
The 3rd team lost 3-0 with Matthew and Jonny just missing out in a tight 3 set match that finished 7-5 in the third. With 1 win from 3 and 2 points the team lies 5th in their group.
