Summer League is now 3 weeks in. We have 3 Men’s and 3 Ladies teams playing this season so it’s good to see so many members out there playing for the club.
The Men’s 1st team have had a difficult season so far. A point in each of their matches leaves them on 3 points with 2 weeks to go and narrowly above the relegation zone.
The Men’s 2nd team have 3 wins and 8 points, putting them top of their group. Three points from the remaining 2 ties would see them top their group and go into the playoffs.
This season, the Men’s section have a 3rd team entered for the first time in a long time. They scored their first points of the season last Sunday with a win over Aer Lingus bringing them up to 4th in their Section.
The Ladies first team have scored 2 wins from 3. Seven points sees them lying in third place in a group that is tight at the top. This week’s match with Sutton looks like an important fixture that might go a long way to determining who reaches the playoffs.
The Ladies 2nd team have 3 wins, and 9 points from a possible 9. Their remaining 2 matches are against the 2nd and 3rd placed teams in the section.
The 3rd team are on 2 points having earned a point last Sunday and are sitting in 5th place in their section.
All the teams have 2 matches remaining over the next 2 Sundays and plenty to play for. Good luck to all and thank you as always to the players, Captains and subs.
The Men’s 1st Team and Ladies 3rd Team are at home this Sunday.
